Samurai vs Ninja [TSdX, PbC]

Feudal Japan, 75 character points. Attributes for your character have to be mundane, BUT you can spend as many of those points as you wish on one magic weapon (or matched pair of weapons).

Just curious, why run this TSdX and not L5R?

Because i have no experience with it, and i'm running three different games, so i'd rather only have to keep track of three different settings and plots than three separate settings, plots, and systems. Tri-stat will work with all three and keep things simple on my end. But if you'd like to run it with L5R instead, be my guest. I would play it.

I haven't played L5R since before D20 existed and fucked it up, though I hear that the new L5R is much better. I'm not going to say it's a better system than TSdX (having not played TSdX in almost 6 years and not played L5R in 13) just that L5R is inherently a "Samurai vs. Ninja" game, which is why I mentioned it.

I'll look into the new edition of L5R and see if it's something I would be able to run, and let you know.

Sweet I'd play a L5R game, or at least, I'd try to.

Though I am more used to Tri-stat, I am still interested in this game as well. Again, saturdays and sunday evenings are ideal for me, but friday in the evening may work as well.

Cool; i'm going to give Rayven a couple of days to decide if he wants to run it--otherwise we'll figure out a day and time and get this going soonish.

Go ahead. Even if I pdf the core for L5R, I won't even be able to look over it for at least a week.

First session, if we can get enough characters in, will be March 6 at 8pm CST on OpenRPG (Probably Blackstar server, but look to the chat at the bottom of any page here for changes).

Go here for more info (as i post it) and to bounce ideas around and post your characters.
