So, I is a happy monkey.

Borders is having a company-wide summer clearance sale (there are books for $1), and I decided to peruse last night at the Borders in the mall in Boulder, CO. As I was going through the $10 hardbacks, I saw a book (well, 2 volumes of a 3-volume book, at any rate) that I have been looking for since 1994.

The Book of 1001 Nights

Better known (at least, to the western world) as Arabian Nights. Yep, the book that stories like "Alladin," "Sindbad," and "Ali Baba and the Fourty Thieves" all came from.

I have NEVER seen a copy of any volume of this book for less than $150, and I just picked up the first two volumes, bound in hard leather, with silk bookmarks built in, for $10 each.

I almost choked on glee when I saw those in the clearance section
STARE INTO MY EYES FOREVER
LET ME TAKE YOU IN MY ARMS
DANCE WITH ME OUT IN THE GARDEN
WHERE TOMORROW NEVER COMES
FOLLOW ME INTO THE DARKNESS
WHERE THE NIGHTMARES NEVER FADE
WHISPER DREAMS MY FALLEN ANGEL
FROM WHICH YOU WILL NEVER WAKE
Religion starts wars. Spirituality ends them

Everyone is an atheist about some gods, we just went one god further. - Richard Dawkins
Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me."--Ferris Bueller, 1986
