"I'm imagining Kiera Knightly, Katherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina and Meg Fox sitting around your map wearing bandanas vigorously shaking fists full of d20s." - Aval Penworth, in regards to a map I made
"We're talking about the GM that made us fight giant Fruit, Verd is totally unpredictable." - Nikurasu (one of my players)
Everyone is an atheist about some gods, we just went one god further. - Richard Dawkins
Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me."--Ferris Bueller, 1986
To the human body, a spoonful of flour and a spoonful of sugar are identical.
"Seeing, contrary to popular wisdom, isn't believing. It is where belief stops, because it isn't needed any more." - Terry Pratchett, Pyramids

Gods, that has to be from the 80's!
They've seriously upped a lot of those characters power levels in the intervening years.
(and some of them are pushing up daisies, too...)

My thoughts exactly and some of them I would argue even then.

Wow - I would have bet money that Silver Surfer was waaaaaay stronger than just about everyone on that list.

Of course, now he very well may be.

Darn weird... I'd have sworn the Thing would be about the same class as Hulk and Thor... and I'd never thave had any idea that wonder man and tin head would be in that top category...

Then again, I'd like to have a definition for the categories, because I'd have expected Colossus and Miss hulk to be higher (then again, they are with Spidey who can throw around things in the 10-12 ton range, and bench-press more at need)ol

I'd put that page in the late 70's, maybe very early 80's at the latest. Mark Gruenwald started at Marvel in 1978 (thank you, Wikipedia!).

What has really made the difference since then has been Marvel's attempts to much more closely define strength levels, probably mostly due to Jeff Grubb and the Marvel Super Heroes RPG.
