1st Episode is on Hulu and it's already pretty good. A bit slow to start, but I'm more than interested in the rest.

I was disappointed by this. I *really* wanted to like it and found it was really dull and dragged and didn't make it past the first 20 minutes.

For those who found it to slow, you need to check out the first episode in its entirety then watch the second episode. Very interesting things occur in the second.

I was disturbed at how not-interesting Dollhouse was. I watched it on accident at one of my brothers' houses. Not impressed.

*nods* Same here. I tried watching the second episode and it was was just as boring as the first one. I'll try one more time but doubt I'll be taping it for much longer.

I'm sure there were people who said the exact same thing about Firefly.

The season is over now and I like how they ended it. The reveal and origin of Alpha was good and I didn't see the twist with Amy Acker's character coming, but I liked it.

Yeah, I loved the way it ended. It could end here (which would suck) or keep going, the ending was perfect for either.

In fact, I stuck with it and enjoyed it increasingly throughout the season. Relative to Firefly and Angel, I still don't like it quite as well, but it became very watchable by the end of the season.

The renewal of Dollhouse was a surprise based on its modest ratings. But it appears that some networks are more willing to accept less-watched shows if they appear to be more competitive than a new show might be, or offer other benefits. Fox is very high on Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon. And the show has a sizable audience watching the program outside its scheduled air time.
