Deadlands Board Game

PostPosted by NulSyn » Tue Dec 09, 2008 2:56 pm

PEG just announced on their mainpage http://peginc.com/ that they have made a deal with Twilight the creators of Zombies! to make a Deadlands board game. If its anything like Zombies it should be fun as hell.

Zombies kicks ass! Especially when you fuck with people and move the Helipad.

Now the question is will Deadlands TBG be compatible with Zombies!!! the way Send More Humans is?

Yeah...what he said. Talisman took almost a year to design and playtest, per edition. Hell, almost every board game takes at least 6 month from planning to production.

well improbly over simplifing the proccess and such. just most board games seem a bit simpler than a full fledge rpg game and i just think it would if you werent working on other projects and just sat down and wrote and worked on a game it would go much quicker for some home diesner with a day job it would oviusly take much longer but if your getting paid to make the thing a years to long for a board game..............and Talisman is the best board game ever...the old version not that new one.

I know a couple of board game designers (people kept trying to get me to beta their shit when I ran my shop), and even the simplest of board games takes months. Yeah, I can see where you are coming from in writing the game...but then you gotta do the graphic design for the board, the playing pieces, cards if you use them, print the cardstock, manufacture the board, playtest, then do a reprint to fix all the hitches...etc.
